DeleteI started using shawls after my thyroid operation so that my scar is not visible. I had several collection on my closet, almost 30 now with different colors. I often researched from the net beautiful colors and had installed instructions of different style on how to wear a shawl on my android phone.

DeleteI have at least a dozen shawls but the best shawls I got were the pashminas from India. I got them from Connaught Place in Delhi. I have never seen as many shawls or pashminas than in Delhi. They have them in every color, design, material and price.

DeleteI have never owned a shawl, let alone just a black one. But, after viewing this, I may go buy one and see how it looks with different outfits, especially now, when the weather here is chilly enough for sweaters and alike, but not cold enough for a coat.

ReplyDeleteI am not really what you would call fashionable. I dress simply and try to avoid wearing anything make people stop and stare. I'm just not comfortable. I'm just shy, I guess. But I guess starting off with a fashionable accessory such as a shawl, and in black, seems "safe" enough for me to try. Thanks a lot for the tip and much-needed inspiration. :)

ReplyDeletePashminas are so wonderful-I know, I used to work at a counter in a department store where we sold pashminas (and oriental household items like cushion covers, blankets and stuff), and I have one or two. I like them, because they are not chunky but keep you warm. And I agree with you, black is one of the most versatile and practical ones :).

Shawls r very handy and statment makers at the same time.I have a pashmina shawl which i can wear on all outfits without need to hide femine features.definetly a gud pick for young women to ward of cold wether.
