The First
Lady of America, Michelle Obama is featured in the Spanish magazine portrayed as a 19th
century French slave in Magazine Fuera de Serie. The First Lady is overlaid in
the 1800 painting "Portrait d'une négresse"
by a French Artist Marie-Guillemine
Benoist.
The idea is taken from
the "Famous Nudes" series done by Karine Percheron-Daniels, The Excellency Michelle Obama wears a French
slave headdress and a white gown exposing her right breast and laid in draped
of American flag. The magazine called Michelle Obama as the “gran mujer” or great woman behind the history-making
of his husband the U.S. President, Barack Obama.

SPEECHLESS!
ReplyDeleteis that really michelle o's body? for art, i would say, she did great. as for a wife of a sitting president...i have apprehensions...

Did Michelle Obama consent to this? Though its possible since its more of an art than nude but it's just odd for a sitting first lady to consent to a cover like this.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know what to say. In perspective of art this is amazing ... but for being the first lady ... I really think she should of opted out for a different image.
ReplyDeleteI guess it has a good meaning but then the cover can be depicted maliciously by others so it could turn to be a negative thing. But again, the message is good.
